With the Acoustimeter, you can quickly make an informed judgment about radio frequency (RF) and electromagnetic fields (EMF) in your environment.
The Acoustimeter is designed to give them a quick and informative judgement about the presence and behaviour of high frequency radiation signals in their environment. The device presents the measurement results as an acoustic signal, with LEDs and on an LCD display for very accurate values.
The Acoustimeter was developed on the basis of years of experience in practical measurement of high-frequency radiation. It is a broadband instrument that measures all radiation in the range from 200 MHz to about 80000 MHz (8 GHz). This includes the frequencies of most modern communication systems with which we come into contact on a daily basis. The Acoustimeter simultaneously displays peak measurements and the average value. This is very important from a biological point of view, as it is mainly those high frequencies that are harmful to our health.
The device covers the spectrum from TETRA up to and beyond the 5.6 GHz WLan and WiMax frequencies and responds to differences of only 0.02 V/m. These features make the Acoustimeter a suitable measuring device for people with electrosensitivity.
The measured values are shown on a 2-line OLED display as well as with two series of graded LED lights. These update very quickly so that you can detect any "hotspots" as quickly as possible.
The LCD display shows peak hold, peak and average value. Updates about 2.5 times per second.
The Acoustimeter also has a speaker (and an audio output for headphones or an audio recorder), so with a little practice you can determine the type of device from which the radiation is emitted.
The sound can be heard at levels below 0.02 V/m.
The sound from different stations can change over time, so these should only be taken as a rough guide. If several sources in the environment emit high-frequency radiation, the radiation can mix and is therefore more difficult to identify.
