The Acousticom 2 is our newest microwave detector.
The Acousticom 2 was developed on the basis of many years of experience in practical measuring of high-frequency electromagnetic waves. From the radiation of a microwave oven, to electromagnetic pollution, wifi and mobile phone radiation, measurements are possible in the range from 200 MHz to 8 Ghz. The measured data are displayed on a LED scale and can made audible at the push of a button. The Acousticom 2 uses the same RF detector as our top-of-the-range "Acoustimeter", but still remains easy to use and understand. The compact dimensions and the attractive price make the Acousticom 2, which comes with a practical pouch, a daily companion for discrete measurement applications.
The Acousticom 2 has an additional "alarm", which generates a pulsing warning signal at high exposure levels. With 500 measurements per second, the device works very precisely and is able to record even extremely short signals. The Acousticom 2 indicates with LED light the peak measurement of high frequency electromagnetic radiation in the range of 200 MHz to 8000 MHz (8GHz), which are the frequencies used by most modern communication systems in our daily environment. These include TETRA, all mobile frequencies up to 4G / LTE, Smart Meters, and all Wi-Fi and WiMax frequencies. All 5G frequency bands approved to date in Germany, Austria and Switzerland can also be measured.
When Acousticom 2 is first turned on, it is silent. The sound may be easily switched on and off by pressing the button. With a little practice and experience, you can determine the demodulated signals that are emitted by various devices. If the alarm is not required, it can simply be disabled when the unit is turned on. When different sources of radiation are present in the environment, Acousticom 2 will display an accurate peak measurement over all frequencies. This is very important from a biological point of view, since above all the short but strong signal pulses are the most harmful to our body.
